Storage shed overhead shelf. I took shelving I had built in my garage and converted it to be used in my new metal storage shed. I had to cut it down from 15 feet to 10 feet for it to fit. Now I wanted to use the remaining five feet as a second shelf below the first one. At the same time, I wanted to build a rack in the back of the shed to hold all my rakes shovels and implements of destruction. Those guys were in my shop and they weren't related to woodworking, so they had to be banished.
These braces are four inches. I could rest the shelf on the braces if I took four inches off of the left leg of the shelving and left it on on the right side. That would provide support under two sides of it, and all I would need to do would be connected two by four from the upper shelf down to the unsupported corner. That's out floating in the middle. Let's have work, I'm not happy about that split. I may come back and do something to shore it up more, but anyway there it is next up the rack to hang the hose shovels, etc.
This one by 12 will be where I hang the garden implements. So I've decided that instead of putting a board in here, I'm just going to take this one and move it over and then I'll leave this area open, and I can come up underneath and hang tools back here that I ordinarily couldn't get they're going to notch Around the two by fours that are holding the shelf so that 1 by 12 can rest down on the metal framework of the building. I don't have dust collection rigged up from my hand, tools yet got the room for two more here. What I need two more garden tools: what if I just put this guy right here instead of up in there that'll work one
